@mydailysurrender - Yes, he does. Unfortunately, he has kitty-nightmares, too, probably about Mikey (my mom’s cat, and Sam’s arch-nemesis, who will be moving back in with us within a month… I think his bad dreams are about when he was sick and she attacked him… which was why she ended up being my mom’s cat in the first place!). When he has nightmares, I wake him up as gently as possible. I cannot stand it when he cries!

How are you going to handle the two of them together??
@mydailysurrender - Well, I’m laid off right now, so I will be home a lot with a spray bottle of H2O… and Sam is no longer weak/sick (at the time of Mikey’s attack, he was having tooth issues that turned out to be genetic… he is toothless now!), and he is twice her size, so i think he will be the dominant kitty once more. Before the tooth problem, he was definitely the dominant cat… but he never was mean to her. he just wants to be friends. I will have to watch them closely though!
Sounds like a plan. Contrary to public opinion, they can be taught….as I’m sure you know, being the cat person that you are.
My cat is a petite part Persian….slate gray…13 years old. She is queen supreme and my personal friend. Don’t tell any of the guys (my three sons and hub), but the two of us are the smartest persons in the house!

@mydailysurrender - I think it will be an adjustment for all of us, but it will be okay. I just can’t see giving Mikey to a stranger; she was so good to my mom, you know? And no one in my family can take her on… they either can’t have pets where they live, or they already have a full house. And I promised my mother I would look after Mikey for her.
Besides… Mikey is a sweetheart, so long as you aren’t another cat!

lol, no doubt. Ashes hates cats. She thinks she’s a people.
I have made a similar promise to take BooBoo Kitty should anything happen to Mom. I understand.
@mydailysurrender - Yeah. Mikey LOVES people; she is the first cat I have ever had that isn’t afraid of strangers (anymore… when we first got her… ugh… that’s a whole post!). She is scared to death of dogs. Everything else she tries to eat or just kill. LOL
