Is It Funny?
Last night, I wanted to steal a few minutes on the computer (Ken was online, gaming). He said, “No problem. I’m going out for a smoke,” and then he walked into the sliding glass door. Smack!I couldn’t stop laughing – and I wrote it up on Facebook. I had to share that laugh with someone, and it was much too late in the evening to call my best friend, Jeanne.
For almost an hour after it happened, every time I looked at my husband, I’d burst out laughing, and then he’d shake his head and chuckle. Even now, writing this down, I’m giggling to myself… and Ken just asked, “Are you writing about me and the patio door?”
If he’d hurt himself, it would not be funny… but he didn’t, and it was!
Do you laugh at stuff like that?

As long as no one loses an eye or something, it’s funny.
I believe that is called slapstick…it is probably connected to “you had to be there” phrase…
YES!! All the time!
I’m laughing right now!
As long as it’s just embarassing and not painful.
It’s the best! And I’ve ran into a glass door before, might as well laugh at myself, too.
hehehe…It’s funny.
Always. It doesn’t take much to get me laughing!
yeah. that’s pretty funny.
Considering the fact that I am laughing now~ just bcs I am picturing my own husband walking into a door. Ya~ I’m hideous.
Damn that new windex. lol
yes, I do, though I am usually the butt of the joke. I once sat on a slice of pizza and walked around with it stuck to my jeans for several minutes before noticing.
Oh! My father married a pure Cherokee. My mother’s people were ashamed of me…
Yes, if no injuries are involved. Of course, usually I’m the one doing these things, so I’m usually the one being laughed at, not the laugher…
yeah – I laugh at stuff like that too…. After-all it is funny to watch someone do it. Not so much if I do it myself, of course….. ~ V
Yes. That’s funny. I would be funnier if I’d seen it in person… but I’ll amuse my self anyway. Glad your husband is a good sport about it!
You’re asking this of a woman who nearly pees herself when the Stooges are on . . . what do you think?
lol, too bad it wasn’t on video.
I laugh at hubby for his antics all the time. While I may be the klutz, he sometimes says or does something that has me giggling for hours. hehe
One time my boyfriend in college came in the bank to stand in line with me instead of waiting outside. He didn’t want to waste time walking around those ropes they put up to make little walkways to the teller so he decided to step over them instead. His foot got caught and he ended up tripping, falling down and knocking all those ropes down. I couldn’t stop laughing for hours! Every time I looked at him, I’d bust out laughing. Then, for the next few weeks, everytime we passed the bank, I’d laugh out loud! He wasn’t amused!
As long as he’s intact and unscathed, it’s funny.
My sense of humour has a distinct lack of schadenfreude. So , yes I’d have laughed , as long as he was ok.

I do and I have been the one laughed at as I hit the glass too.
Of course.
Yes, it is funny when it happens to someone else. I had a garden party once and one of the guests wanted to come into the house, and walked straight into the patio door. That was funny.
I was in London, and we were waiting for our tour bus. I wanted some water, and asked M where I could get some, he pointed to the bar across, and asked me to go get some. So I did, except, there was a glass door all the way across, that i couldn’t see. I banged straight into it. I turned around, and saw a dozen faces with either their mouths open, or smiling. M of cours hid behind a news paper, and wanted to disown me. He didn’t want to be associated with a klutzy woman.
Yes, I laugh at them but not as hard as when they laugh at me when I do that kinda thing.
Most definitely.
