Wow those are great drawings! That top one is sooo cute.
The Sam!!!! The String Girl!!!!! Ken is a sweetie.
Hehe those are adorable!
Those are wonderful. I love caricatures. They make me smile too!
How very unprofessional…the both of you.
I’d have fired you both.
Then again, the chances of me ever being in a position to fire ANYONE are highly unlikely.LOLOL
Carry on.
love the second one. so typical lol
That would bring a smile to anyone’s lips. You two really do work together.
awe, luff him.
OMG he’s talented. I remember when he made your former blog theme that I loved (this one is cool too). What a cool guy, huh? I’m so happy for you! That top drawing is so hysterical with the paw. The one of him going ‘whatever’ is also funny.
LOL
How absolutely wonderful! I’ve just entered into the world of feline, any tips?
@WildWomanOfTheWest - OOOOO! You did??? When? Boy or girl? How old? What does he/she look like? Where’d ya get him/her? Did you post photos?
LOL I’m so psyched for you… can ya tell?
What kind of tips are you looking for? Message me if you want. I’m not a vet, but I’ve been around cats literally all of my life (I’m 44). I’d love to help. =”^..^”=
ha, those are great!!!!!!
@Bricker59 - LMAO… if you knew/saw where we work/what we do, you’d know how really funny your comment is… Thanks for the rec!
He hid up under my truck a couple days ago while I was out and about, and hitched a ride home. He is grey with white tips, absolutely beautiful. Three or four months old. Took him to our vet, (the only vet in the area) he didn’t know him. He’s pretty scraggly, looks to have been outdoors all his life. My daughter loves him. pics are on my site, if you want to take a peek at him.
Thanks again!
@WildWomanOfTheWest - I just went over and saw… He is a handsome little guy! I left you a little info on food and litter, but I think @the_rocking_of_socks got there before me.
He kind of reminds me of one of my old family cats, Charlie, when he was young. So cute… and hitching rides on trucks. Charlie used to get into my brother’s car, and later on, my best friend’s car. Always trying to hitch a ride.
Awww!
@SamsPeeps - I was so afraid I had fried his little paws! Took awhile to get him out, waving a bit of tuna in his direction did the tricks.
Thank you for all the tips, I expect I will have questions along the way, no time to research since I had no idea he was coming! haha~
@WildWomanOfTheWest - I’m sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you meant that he climbed into the back of your truck. Holy smokes!!!
Well, he might never do that again now if he was really scared.
And see? You knew to break out the tuna (turkey usually works, too). You’re a natural!
How is he with the dogs (I forgot how many you have now)?
@WildWomanOfTheWest - Oh, you can ask me anything anytime. Cats is one subject I pretty much never get tired of.
Is that sad?
@AlterEgo909 - Thanks My guy can draw. Wish he’d do it professionally already! You totally have me jonesing for cider now, and of course, pretty much all stores are closed now…
@SamsPeeps - I definitely need to try adding caramel, that sounds delicious!
@AlterEgo909 - I got that at a Barnes & Noble cafe. It’s one of their seasonal things. Haven’t had one since around Christmas 2009, just before we moved out here to WI. Now that I don’t get a 50% discount at their cafes, I don’t go.
@SamsPeeps - Actually, it was my daughter who broke out the tuna, she’s the natural!
He has met Cactus Jack so far, through a crate. Jack loves him, and Newly did really well, I thought.
We have five indoor dogs and two ranch dogs. So far, we have set Newly up in the guest house, and going over to visit him in between his naps. There would be no way I could trust our old Doberman, Rocky with him. Rocky is getting close to his end, sadly. But, we knew that when we adopted him.
I never tire of equine or canine talk, and now I will have to add feline. I understand~ haha
Love it!
very nice drawings
Jeez Ness, this is the most special post I’ve ever seen on xanga. How personally precious is that! I love the way the string girl is scratching The Sam’s head in the first pic. AND, I love the whatever pose down below in the next pic. You have a very sweet hubby Ness.
@ZSA_MD - LOL Yeah… When I squish The Sam, his paw goes out… especially if I squish too hard… “Mommy’s cramping my style!” is what he is PROBABLY saying! The “whatever” is my favourite. He does that to me whenever I’m telling him “NO!”… he starts licking the inside of his paw. He knows that it melts me. And no matter how upset *I* may be, he keeps the “whatever” face. (I love his little face!)
Ken knew exactly how to cheer me up yesterday, the same way The Sam knows how to work the charm with the front paw thing… I think they conspire! Thanks so much Zakiah, and thank you for the rec, too!
@Donna7 - @godfatherofgreenbay - thanks… I love the way he draws! (He always makes me look cooler than I really do… gotta love that!)
@WildWomanOfTheWest - Oh, I’m sorry about Rocky. That’s hard. I miss having a dog. Haven’t had one since I was 12. Then we moved and it was easier on my mom to just keep the cat and not get another dog (ours passed); we wouldn’t have a fenced in yard anymore and my mom couldn’t walk a dog . And me, well, I’ve only lived in apartments on my own and always thought it would be unfair to keep a dog in a little apartment. Someday, if we ever get a house… and I’m lucky in that The Sam really likes (most) dogs! So, his name is Newly, huh? I like that. Enjoy him!
P.S.: You will be fluent in feline in no time (that almost sounded poetic, didn’t it?)
@SamsPeeps - It is hard, even though we went into it knowing, they find their own special place in our heart. I am listening, waiting for him to tell me when it is time. We had to say good-bye to our female doberman, Queenie, a few months ago, it was heart-wrenching.
Teara named him Newly. It fits him well.
I hope one day, that special canine will find his way to you~
@WildWomanOfTheWest - I’ve always wanted a dog named Bob (don’t ask! LOL). Sooner or later, I will find him. For now, it’s all about The Sam! (Well, and I get to play with a LOT of dogs, all different kinds, at the kennel!)
The cat that we had just before The Sam (and really, kind of how we MET The Sam!), Jaguar… we only had him for 4 months, and he was sick pretty much the whole time. I couldn’t believe how quickly he’d climbed into our hearts and just sort of snuggled up there. Nothing came up in tests. Finally, our old vet did exploratory surgery and found that poor Jag’s intestines were just filled with cancer. We just never woke him up from the surgery. We cried so so so hard… and we’d only known Jag for 4 months. He was a stray, and we did as much for him as we could. Then, a few weeks later, we went back to the vet to collect Jag’s ashes, and ended up adopting The Sam (who was then 3 months old. He’s 11 years old now!). Sometimes, I think that The Sam was sort of a parting gift from Jag.
Those are awesome! What nice gesture of kindness. I love art and am artistic….but have never been able to do comic style work.

Also… Are you wearing bellbottoms? 0_O
Aw that is soooooooo sweet! He’s a keeper!
HUGS!
sorry I missed these earlier – they’re great!
@singinglynnie - @Shining_Garnet - @Lakakalo -
My guy’s pretty talented. I will let him know that you guys liked his work… if he ever gets done working on whatever he is working on at the moment…
@jcasti55 - @AdamsWomanFell - @rnjennison -
@Lakakalo - Well, they’re boot-cuts, which are kind of a “slight” bell–bottom.
@AdamsWomanFell - He sure is… still working on getting him to be a cowboy for Halloween (I almost said, “for Christmas”! LOL)…
@SamsPeeps - I hope you can convince him! Maybe he could be Santy Cowboy for Christmas!
@SamsPeeps - Ya’know, dressing up as a cowboy for Christmas would be awesome.
@AdamsWomanFell - @Lakakalo - I just said to him, “Ken, you gotta dress up like a cowboy for Christmas.”
After about a second of silence: “Okay.”
Yay!
I’m gettin’ a cowboyyyyyy for Christmas!
